Spartan Promotional Group opened its Arizona doors in September
1990. In 1996 we moved to our present location in the East Valley of
the Greater Phoenix area. Our offices feature an expanded showroom and
Conference area.
Jenifer was raised with a passion for promotional products. Her mother and aunt worked for Spartan and it was a natural transition for Jenifer. "I finally found a place where my background in accounting and retail came together. I love the challenge of matching the right product to the right situation, and the relationships with my clients is incredibly rewarding."
Joan has been in the promotional products industry since 1995, the same year she moved from Chicago to Arizona. She states "This is the most fun I've ever had working; it's like shopping every day for my clients, finding just the right item for their event or need." Joan is a former board member of the Arizona Promotional Products Association and is involved with Dynamic Network Associates and the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. Her hobbies include creating altered books and greeting cards, and photography. Joan is very active in her church and enjoys her Bible Study Group.
Marilyn has been in the promotional products industry since 1992, working from her office in Tucson, where she resides. Marilyn provides quality products and service to each of her customers and takes special pride in her knowledge of items made from recycled materials. Marilyn is active in various organizations, including Southern Arizona Employee Services Management Association, Pima Early Rising Executives, and Women in Waste.
Alene opened the Arizona office in 1990. Prior to that time she worked in the Minneapolis/St Paul area as a sales person. Her 30+year industry experience provides her clients with a great resource for ideas, creativity, and solutions for their events and ongoing programs. Alene has earned the Master Advertising Specialist designation. She is a member of the Employees Service Management Association of Phoenix and is past president of the Arizona Promotional Products Association. Alene is a licensed vendor for Arizona State University. In her spare time she designs jewelry, using sterling silver and copper as her medium.
Nancy joined Spartan Promotional Group in April 2010. She brings with her 25 years of experience in the offset printing world. Nancy is one of the owners of ImageWorx Printing in the Northwest Valley of Phoenix, where she has created a small showroom for customers to see samples of some of the many promotional products available. Nancy brings excellent customer service, fun, and honesty with her. She is more than happy to make things happen for her customers, while staying within their budgets and deadlines. She comes from Minneapolis, MN and knows what snow is all about! Her number one priority in life is her husband and family. Nancy has two wonderful grandsons, who she loves with her whole heart. She has learned how to play again!
Nancy, who lives and works in Tucson, joined Spartan in 2005. She had many years experience in retail sales, from part-time clerk through manager of a multi-store operation. "The greatest thing I learned in all of my various functions was the importance of customer service. That philosophy is the key to successful promotional product sales. Taking care of my customers and making sure I listen to their needs is my primary focus. It is a wonderful feeling to connect 'just the right solution with just the right customer.' Always working towards that goal is what makes and keeps this work fresh for both me and my customers."
Nancy is the licensed University of Arizona (U of A) representative for Spartan Arizona.
Mike joined Spartan in 2005. He had experience selling promotional products while working as the general manager of a local printing company. His customers often inquired about getting imprinted items to go with their print materials, so the company added promotional products to their services.
Mike enjoys the fun and creativity aspects of the promotional products industry. He is always looking for new and innovative items to show his customers.
Dawn has over 25 years of Marketing & Advertising experience producing campaigns and implementing action plans. She enjoys working with innovative companies, where the professional execution of promotional marketing campaigns communicate the proper message in a unique memorable way. She approaches projects with the main goal of making a positive difference in people's lives. She believes in the "Customer for Life" philosophy and enjoys creating programs to energize employees. She provides her customers with creative promotional products that enables them to maximize their marketing and team building efforts.
Julie joined Spartan in 2010, bringing with her almost 30 years of sales experience. That experience was in another industry, but after eight years of watching her friend Dawn Patterson have so much fun selling promotional products for Spartan, Julie decided to make the switch. Her favorite thing about selling promotional products is helping her customers come up with creative marketing ideas. In her spare time, Julie enjoys crafting, cooking and entertaining family and friends. She has one son, David and two grandchildren, Austin and Grayson.
Kristi joined the Spartan team in January 2003, bringing with her a twenty-year background in sales and customer service. She approaches each of her projects with imagination and enthusiasm from start to finish, while continually sharing ideas, visions and support with her clients. She brings integrity and a strong desire to help others achieve their goals by providing solutions for each unique event and budget. She especially enjoys providing environmentally friendly ideas and solutions. Kristi enjoys growing much of her own food, cooking, health and fitness activities, and thrives in finding hidden potential in others who may not see it in themselves. She is involved in serving in her church.
Paula joined Spartan in 2001, bringing with her many years of public relations and marketing experience. She is nationally accredited in public relations (APR) and has a Master's Degree in Management. A former Spartan customer, Paula knows the value of Spartan's national reputation and buying power. She is impressed with the quality, service, pricing and delivery times that Spartan preferred vendors provide to her customers, and she loves passing along her experience and creative approach in the form of the "right" product for each branding or positioning goal. Paula's passion is volunteer work, and she has served as a board member and chair of the Chandler/Gilbert Family YMCA, as a member of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce (and many Chamber committees), and on the boards of the Desert Cancer Foundation of Arizona and the Arizona Foundation for Women. She is also active in local politics. Paula loves traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her family and two dogs.
Bill joined the Promotional Products industry in 1991 after many years in the computer industry. After his previous role as a marketing director for ITT where he purchased many different promotional items to help this company improve its brand, increase customer loyalty and motivate sales partners' productivity, he joined the promotional products industry. Bill has been very active in the industry, earning both his Certified and Master of Advertising Specialties certificates, and serving as a past President of the Arizona Promotional Products Association. When asked what he values most about his time in the industry, Bill said, "I love being a professional sales person. I enjoy providing my clients with exceptional customer service and using my extensive business experience to help them achieve their specific goals." Bill is also very active in his church and loves to play golf.
Janna joined us as Office manager in January 2001. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Spartan Arizona office. She maintains the showroom, catalogs… and generally keeps the rest of us in line! Janna served as the President of the Arizona Promotional Products Association in 2008 and 2009. She has been a member of the Board of Directors for several years.
Debbie joined us in the end of March 2004 as a Sales Support Assistant to Alene Geed and as office support for Janna Mundis. Spartan was her first involvement with the promotional product industry. She is enjoying the experience and is learning more and more everyday. Debbie is the voice you hear when you call our office.
