Spartan Promotional Group opened its Arizona doors in September
1990. In 1996 we moved to our present location in the East Valley of
the Greater Phoenix area. Our offices feature an expanded showroom and
Conference area.
Jenifer followed her mother and aunt into the promotional products business. They both had many years with Spartan, so it was a natural and easy transition. "I finally found a place where my backgrounds in accounting and retail came together. I'm having a great time matching the right product to the right situation, and I love the people I'm meeting!"
Melanie joined Spartan in February 2007. After thirteen years in the airline industry, she hopes to bring to Spartan the same enthusiasm and level of service that has made her airline career a success. She is confident that she can help you increase your business through name recognition, employee loyalty and customer appreciation. "Listening to my customers' needs and providing creative solutions are my primary goals." She is currently earning her CAS certification in the promotional products industry. Melanie is a graduate of Kansas State University with a BS in Advertising. She is a certified scuba diver and enjoys reading, traveling, camping, fishing and most recently, hunting.
Joan has been in the promotional products industry since 1995, the same year she moved from Chicago to Arizona. Customer service, quality and detail are very important - her clients are her priority. She is a former board member of the Arizona Promotional Products Association along with being involved with the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce and DNA. Fun things she enjoys are creating greeting cards, photography and volunteering at a nursing home. She also helps out at a men's shelter. Joan is very active in her church and enjoys her Bible Study Group.
Marilyn has been in the promotional products industry since 1992, working from her office in Tucson, where she resides. Marilyn provides quality products and service to each of her customers and takes special pride in her knowledge of items made from recycled materials. Marilyn is active in various organizations, including Southern Arizona Employee Services Management Association, Pima Early Rising Executives, and Women in Waste.
Alene opened the Arizona office in 1990. Prior to that time she worked in the Minneapolis/St Paul area as a sales person. Her 28+year industry experience provides her clients with a great resource for ideas, creativity, and solutions for their events and ongoing programs. Alene has earned the Master Advertising Specialist designation. She is a member of the Employees Service Management Association of Phoenix and is past president of the Arizona Promotional Products Association. Alene is a licensed vendor for Arizona State University.
Laurie joined Spartan in 2006. She has years of experience in Advertising, Marketing and Trade Show Management. Her most recent experience was with the sales department at Item Magazine. Prior to that she held positions with Robson Publishing as Display Advertising Manager, Habitat as Sales Rep, Live Marketing in Chicago as a Project Manager, and was the Promotional Advertising Manager for A&E Network, also in Chicago.
Laurie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and living life to the fullest. She's looking forward to helping her customers build their business by using the best in promotional products.
Nancy, who lives and works in Tucson, joined Spartan in 2005. She had many years experience in retail sales, from part-time clerk through manager of a multi-store operation. "The greatest thing I learned in all of my various functions was the importance of customer service. That philosophy is the key to successful promotional product sales. Taking care of my customers and making sure I listen to their needs is my primary focus. It is a wonderful feeling to connect 'just the right solution with just the right customer.' Always working towards that goal is what makes and keeps this work fresh for both me and my customers."
Nancy is the licensed University of Arizona (U of A) representative for Spartan Arizona.
Mike joined Spartan in 2005. He had experience selling promotional products while working as the general manager of a local printing company. His customers often inquired about getting imprinted items to go with their print materials, so the company added promotional products to their services.
Mike enjoys the fun and creativity aspects of the promotional products industry. He is always looking for new and innovative items to show his customers.
Dawn has over 25 years of Marketing & Advertising experience producing campaigns and implementing action plans. She enjoys working with innovative companies, where the professional execution of promotional marketing campaigns communicate the proper message in a unique memorable way. She approaches projects with the main goal of making a positive difference in people's lives. She believes in the "Customer for Life" philosophy and enjoys creating programs to energize employees. She provides her customers with creative promotional products that enables them to maximize their marketing and team building efforts.
Sandy has been in the promotional products industry since 1999 and says she has finally found her calling- “I get to play with toys all day!”. She is a past member of the Board of the Arizona Promotional Products Association and currently serves as the association's Newsletter Editor and PR chairperson.
Rick joined Spartan in July 2008. He brings with him over twelve years experience working with Fortune 500 companies in the telecommunications industry and five years experience as a professional real estate consultant. Rick feels that his management experience and entrepreneurial spirit position him to better understand the unique business needs of a large corporation and of the small business owner. Rick is dedicated to listening to his customers and providing excellence in creative ideas and services designed to increase brand awareness and recognize employee accomplishments. Rick holds a BS in Engineering from Texas A&M and an MBA from The University of Phoenix. Rick is active with the AZ Eagles, a grass-roots non-profit organization dedicated to making positive changes in the local community and throughout the world. He also loves fashion and enjoys golf, reading, and traveling.
Kristi joined the Spartan team in January 2003, bringing with her a twenty-year background in sales and customer service. She approaches each of her projects with imagination and enthusiasm from start to finish, while continually sharing ideas, visions and support with her customers. She brings integrity and a strong desire to help her Spartan partners get exactly what they need. Kristi enjoys gardening, cooking, health and fitness activities and is passionate about transforming her community by leading a bible study group and volunteering in a day center for the homeless during the summer months. She is also involved in serving in her church.
Paula joined Spartan in 2001, bringing with her 25 years of public relations and marketing experience. A former Spartan customer, Paula knows the value of Spartan’s national reputation and buying power.She is impressed with the quality, service, pricing and delivery times that Spartan preferred vendors provide to her customers. Paula is a Board Member and past chair of the Chandler/Gilbert Family YMCA Board of Management, a member of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce (and many Chamber committees) since 1989, and on the Boards of Desert Cancer Foundation of Arizona and Arizona Foundation for Women. Paula loves traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her family and two dogs.
Janna joined us as Office manager in January 2001. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Spartan Arizona office. She maintains the showroom, catalogs… and generally keeps the rest of us in line! Janna is the 2008 President of the Arizona Promotional Products Association. She has been a member of the Board of Directors for several years.
Debbie joined us in the end of March 2004 as a Sales Support Assistant to Alene Geed and as office support for Janna Mundis. Spartan was her first involvement with the promotional product industry. She is enjoying the experience and is learning more and more everyday. Debbie is the voice you hear when you call our office.
